Since January 2024, BTCFi has ramped up tremendously, growing in TVL from 328M to a peak of over 7.4B. Alongside this TVL growth, many millions of funding dollars have been poured into BTCFi projects, with Traditional Finance giants like Franklin Templeton being frequent participants.
This initiative is about accelerating BitVM adoption to make Bitcoin programmable and bring greater utility to BTC holders.
But BitVM isn’t just about technology—success hinges on creating a more secure BTCFi environment through strategic collaboration with the right stakeholders. The BitVM/acc working group unites BitVM builders, Web3 businesses, and institutions that will benefit from or contribute to BitVM’s development.
Together, we’ll accelerate BitVM adoption and ensure BitVM is developed in line with the core needs of both users and operators.
